Meet the breeder

I'm Shaunte' R., the breeder behind Sparkling Cross Toy & Mini Aussies located in Milton Freewater, OR. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament with a focus on conformation, athleticism and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing our families with a wonderful and healthy family pet. As my son is special needs I Specialize in Emotional Support dogs.

Q. & A. with Shaunte'

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up showing pigs, sheep, and steers in 4-H and FFA, animals have always been a passion of mine. While growing up we raised Quarter Horses on a 60 Acre Farm. I did a lot of research to find the right lines and qualities I wanted to strive for and made sure we were doing things to better our dogs and program and meet breed standards.
  • What makes your program special?

We want to produce the very best well rounded, outgoing, and show quality dogs with great personalities. We Specialize in Emotional Support dogs. There’s no better feeling than when we match one of our Sparkling Cross Aussies with their caring new owner. Sparkling Cross Aussies was founded out of love with the intent of producing the highest quality puppies available. How we raise our own dogs and puppies, I think raising them in a family environment from day one really affects how they develop into adults. We like raising them indoors as part of our daily lives. We also genetic health test all of our dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black tri, blue merle, red merle, and red tri. Miniature American Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, red tri-color, black tri, red merle, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
