Meet the breeder

I'm Melissa T., the breeder behind Split Mountain Doodles located in West Haven, UT. I am very good at what I do. I fall in love with every puppy and help them navigate learning everything I can possibly teach them at their young age to prepare them for everything that might come their way.

Q. & A. with Melissa

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was never a dog lover until we got our first family dog. Then we ended up buying her mom too! We loved them and decided to have puppies. I loved the process and the puppies so much that I slowly made more out of it than just a hobby. Now, these babies are my life.
  • What makes your program special?

I raise all of my puppies myself with the help of my husband and 5 kiddos . I’m the one who loves them, socializes them, and teaches them to use the doggie door. It’s me who personally knows your puppy so I can tell you about him/ her and help you find the best puppy for you.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Poodle puppies are miniature size. Cockapoo puppies are mini size. Goldendoodle puppies include petite, miniature, and medium sizes. Bernedoodle puppies include mini and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Cockapoo puppies include red and white, red, and buff. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, and parti. Bernedoodle puppies include tri-color, phantom, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
