I'm JODI C., the breeder behind Spruce Valley Miniature Dachshunds & Boston Terriers located in St. Agatha, ME. I specialize in healthy correctly bred puppies, I breed for health, temperament, conformation and quality. We treat every client like they are part of our family with continued support for the life of your puppy. With 30 years breeding experience, let us help you find your new best friend.

Why did you start breeding?
I've been involved with dogs since I was a young girl. I grew up wanting to better my breeds and offer top quality puppies to people looking for that special addition to their lives. I opened Spruce Valley in 1996 and have been a professional breeder for 30 years and have produced healthy, tempermentally correct puppies that conform to breed standards.What makes your program special?
I rigorously research my lines and by pairing the right sire to the right dam along with health testing to ensure that my puppies are properly bred for health and longevity, I produce some of the nicest puppies in New England. I also stand behind each and every puppy that I produce for their entire life, which gives my clients piece of mind when adding one of our beautiful puppy's to their homeWhat are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies include cream, chocolate, fawn (isabella), chocolate and cream, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Boston Terrier puppies include red, lilac, blue, seal and white, seal brindle and white, brindle and white, black brindle and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from JODI
JODI has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, JODI partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“ puppies are picked in order of deposits received. 1st deposit gets 1st pick, 2nd deposit gets 2nd pick and so on. puppies can be visited at 6 weeks old. they go home at 8 weeks old. We do make plans to meet part way for a flat fee of $800. for those who live far,we also have a ground shipper or we also meet in Houlton Maine for a flat fee of $400. if their puppy and fee are paid in full by 7 weeks old, ”

“our prices are $2550 to $3000 for Boston Terriers and $3500 to $3850 for Miniature Dachshunds, prices include AKC limited registration, a one year health warranty and lifetime support. a deposit is required in order to hold a puppy. Serious inquiries only please.”

Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Multifocal Retinopathy 1 (CMR1), Brachycephaly, Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

After meeting Jodi when I picked up Oslo, I could tell she pours so much love and care for every dog she raises. She provided a lot of detail when explaining tips for potty training and teething. All of her tips have worked with Oslo so far which goes to show how well she knows her puppies. Oslo is well socialized and so confident!
