I'm Jillian S., the breeder behind StackBright Cavaliers located in Hampstead, MD. Each litter is planned far in advance such that characteristics of sire and dam complement one another to produce high quality puppies. My goal is for these puppies to be stand out stars in any avenue their new owners desire - from family companion to show, therapy, and/or performance dog prospects.
Q. & A. with Jillian
Why did you start breeding?
All throughout childhood and adulthood, I’ve almost always had and been involved with the dog world in some capacity. After completing my master’s degree in engineering, I wanted to fill my newly found “extra” time by getting involved in conformation dog shows with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
What makes your program special?
I am very interested in the health testing associated with both the sire and dam of each litter. While dogs are living creatures that can act independently of my desires or plans, I do everything within my power to reduce incidence of health issues, especially life-threatening defects.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
