I'm Cheryl S., the breeder behind Stanford's Shih Tzus located in New Port Richey, FL. We breed high-quality puppies. We love what we do and are committed to producing well-bred, healthy puppies for loving homes. We’re a small-scale program with a big love of this breed! Our dogs are our passion, and we enjoy spreading the love of our incredible dogs with other individuals and families by responsibly breeding.

Why did you start breeding?
I bought my first shih tzu 17 years ago. I absolutely fell in love with the breed. They are amazing little lions. Very spunky, lovable, kissable, and I love those wagging tails. I purchased another female and a male. Each of my girls had three litters apiece. I retired them. Both of my girls have passed due to old age. (15 years). Loving this breed so much, I couldn’t be without another one so, I purchased two more females and male. I’m on my way to providing good families with good healthy babiesWhat makes your program special?
All of my babies are born in my home, raised in my home, and socialized in my home,. As soon as their eyes open and they start to move around they are taken from the pen and brought into our living room for playtime several times a day with my husband, myself and the adult babies!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, gold and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Cheryl has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Cheryl is a fantastic breeder. She loves her dogs so much. I was a little apprehensive about purchasing a pup online but she and good dog went above and beyond to settle any nerves I had. She answered all of my questions, sent videos and images, and was very easy to communicate with…responsive, thorough, etc…She provided me references from other dog parents and I’m so glad I got to speak with others to help the vetting process. Everyone spoke so highly of her. We got a stunning black and tan shih tzu, Murphy Mako, who is the sweetest and spiciest little fella in the world. We love him so much and he is just perfect! Cheryl is a very informative person, she had all the papers and a goodie bag. The shih tzus at her home were well taken care of as part of the family, which was passed on to our new puppy. Our new puppy is potty trained and has a very good personality. Good dog made it a safe transaction.
