I'm Kelli T., the breeder behind STARGAZER CAVALIERS located in Saint Augustine, FL. We are very selective in our breeding decisions. DNA testing on ALL breeding adults maintaining a healthy breeding program CKCS STANDARD PUPPYS RAISED IN OUR HOME NOT in a KENNEL /crate. Puppies graduate puppy kindergarten. Cavalier education for buyers - ENS ESI TRAINING AKC/LIMITED registration.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    what I saw at the pet stores and hearing so many horrible cases from puppy mills talking to my friends that have had a dog for a few years and then the health problems begin. Families upset because the dog has to be put down because they can’t afford the vet bills, there has to be a way to do this right ..So DNA and OFA testing is the way to prevent that so your baby lives a long healthy life.

  • What makes your program special?

    because I start involvement with my puppy's from the time of conception with health and wellness protocol, Early socialization is crucial to development of puppies. ENS ESI which you expose 3 week pups to aid in their development. resilience and coping mechanisms. Boost brain development-Improve circulation and immune system-stimulates neurological stimuli-Helps stress response later in life-

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, black and white, tri-color, black and tan, and chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Brucellosis, Standard Veterinary Blood Panel

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
