Q. & A. with Lisa
Why did you start breeding?
About 3 years ago we was originally looking for a family pet. We shopped around at different breeds and we came across the Shiba Inu. My husband and I immediately fell in love. We got our first male and I started looking into responsible breeding and what it take. I talked to my husband about it and we agreed. We are in love with the breed and love and care for our dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, red, black and tan, and sesame. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Patellar Luxation

Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
