I'm Patty P., the breeder behind Stellar Kennels located in Salado, TX. We show at American Kennel Club affiliated events. Puppies purchased have become stellar members of Fly Ball, Agility, and Frisbee Teams across America. We take pride in talking extensively with each potential owner to ensure we fit them with the best puppy. Breeder Support is our specialty!

Why did you start breeding?
I began showing dogs through the 4H program in 6th grade and all through high school. Following High School, I enrolled in an Animal Science program following advice from our family Veterinarian. I chose to work with a happy and healthy dog rather than the many stressful times that veterinarians face daily. Focusing on a superb breeding program became my life-long commitment!What makes your program special?
I do not breed for the $$$. I breed because I have the passion and desire to provide the best possible puppy (focusing on Border Collies only) with the pure intent on preserving this breed. We never know it all! I get excited when other border collie breeders combine efforts with me and the outcome is that much better. It does take a village to get to higher levels - We reach for the STARS!What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Mamma Mia!!! There is no other Mia. A born leader with lots of class. She can't help herself but to steal the show and own the crowd. Mia is the epitome of the Border Collie. She has a built in on/off switch - when "ON" she is turbo boost (high drive - makes for outstanding Agility/Flyball/Frisbee competitors). When "OFF" she becomes the world's best cuddle snuggle bestie. Puppies from this litter will have the potential to meet your expectations in not only beauty but ability. Mia has acquired Champion status and just a few points away from Grand Champion. She too has some of the Nahrof Kennel Greats generations back in her pedigree. Mia had a definite paw in for picking Trace as her perfect mate. God's Blessing mixed in - We have a litter of a lifetime!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
