I'm Steve D., the breeder behind Steve's Puppies located in Norman, OK. Steve's Puppies is from Oklahoma and raises Lhasa Apsos. My Lhasa Apsos are family pets that live in my home. The puppies are born and raised in my home and receive daily personal attention and human socialization. The puppies will be doggy door trained by the time they are adopted.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Having grown up raising livestock and always having a dog as a pet; I wanted my children to have a similar experience and raising puppies came naturally to us.

  • What makes your program special?

    My puppies are born and raised in my home and are constantly around people. They are conditioned to fit seamlessly into their forever homes.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Companion Cross puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Steve

Steve has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Steve partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“All puppies will be placed in homes where they will be both safe and compatible with all family members and pets. New owners must have the ability and knowledge to give their new puppy the care it requires. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $500 - $1,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes a one year Health guarantee, first round of vaccinations, deworming, doggy door training and puppy socialization. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold the puppy of your choice until ready to go to your home.”

Steve may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     It was a welcomed pleasure to meet Steve Dean & our new fur baby Blaze. Steve is very personable & we could tell he really loves & cares about his puppies. We did change his name to Oklee. Steve took the time to explain what to expect. Told us Oklee was doggie door trained, type of food & feeding schedule. Potty training is a work in progress, (no doggie door). Plays independently & plays fetch, even brings toy back so it can be thrown again, amazing right . Right now he is in teething stage——- wants to bite , teaching him not to bite—- another work in progress, this too will pass. We are very satisfied & pleased with our adoption of Oklee.
