I'm Glenna F., the breeder behind Storeybrooke Collies located in Athens, GA. Our dogs are first and foremost cherished members of our family. Each litter is carefully planned and selected to improve the breed, with a focus on exceptional health, temperament, breed type, and versatility. We believe in a well-rounded Collie that is pretty but also functional.
Q. & A. with Glenna
Why did you start breeding?
I've always been interested in conformation, genetics, and responsible dog breeding and I am thrilled that I am finally able to pursue a hobby in purebred dogs. I grew up with Shelties, and have had Collies since 2010, when I acquired my first Rough Collie from a small breeder. Shortly after, I puppy raised a Smooth Collie for a guide dog school and got hooked on smooths.
What makes your program special?
I have been involved in the assistance dog industry for over a decade in breeding, whelping, puppy care and socialization. I am really excited to be able to bring in all of my skills and expertise to my own breed. Our ideal Collie excels in the conformation ring, but is also sound in temperament and health, so could also excel in the performance ring (or enjoy life as a spoiled pet).
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include rough and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable merle, black white and tan, sable, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
