I'm Monica M., the breeder behind Sunflower Cavaliers located in Wichita, KS. My dogs and puppies are lovingly raised in my home as part of my family so I can prepare them to be wonderful additions to yours. I breed with a focus on health and temperament above all; it is extremely important to me that I am producing healthy puppies who will live long, happy lives with their families. I devote my time, energy, and attention to each litter to ensure my puppies get the best start in life. I take pride in what I do and am excited to introduce you to your next beloved companion.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always loved dogs and was excited to establish my breeding program. I have enjoyed the journey, and I am a proud breeder with a focus on temperament and the overall mental and physical health of my puppies. I am passionate about placing happy, healthy puppies with loving families.

  • What makes your program special?

    I strive for quality and excellence with everything that I do. Holding myself to high standards is paramount to the well-being of my dogs and to the integrity of my program. I am very dedicated to what I do and what I aim to achieve as a breeder. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel line.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, black and tan, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Monica

Monica has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $2,000 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies come with limited AKC registration and a health guarantee. The price also includes age-appropriate vaccines and a veterinary check-up. The deposit of half the purchase price is non-refundable but is transferable.”

Contract & health guarantee

Monica may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Dry Eye Curly Coat Syndrome (CKSID)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
