I'm Rachel & Steve V., the breeder behind Sunny Valley Cavaliers located in Sunny Valley, OR. Sunny Valley Cavaliers is located in Sunny Valley, Oregon. Our interest in Cavalier King Charles Spaniel began in 2017 when Maximus Franklin joined our family. We became interested in becoming a ‘hobby’ breeder in 2023 after much research. We adore our Cavaliers, and they are raised in our home and are a part of our family. Our goal is to ensure that we can provide healthy puppies from healthy dogs. We thoroughly researched breeders, and our beautiful Cavaliers come from a long line of healthy, OFA tested dogs; Molly passed her OFA testing earlier this year and Macy and Marley are being tested in November now that they of the recommended age for testing and breeding.
Q. & A. with Rachel & Steve
Why did you start breeding?
We became interested in breeding in 2022 after we had decided to add to our family and found it difficult to find breeders who met our requirements. We kept pushing out how far we would travel for a puppy. We ended up deciding to add more to our family and become hobby breeders because of our love for the breed and wanting to provide healthy happy puppies to others.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
