I'm Jacob & Kattie R., the breeder behind Sunnyside Dachshunds located in Coweta, OK. We strive to give each puppy the best start in life with early socialization, proper nutrition, and regular vet check-ups. We thoroughly preform health and genetic test on all of our parents in order to bring you the healthiest and highest quality dachshunds with desired temperaments and structure.

What makes your program special?
Our program is a small in-home based program. Where we extensively health and genetically test all our adult dogs. They are all PRA clear. Here at Sunnyside we have Imported and American lineage with only the best quality pedigree and historical health. We focus on ensuring we only provide the best quality and healthiest puppies. Our dogs are family first, breeding dogs second. They are loved as if they were our own children. We are highly committed to breeding genetically stable dogs that help preserve the breed.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jacob & Kattie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“"This includes AKC registration paperwork, up to date on vaccinations, 1 year genetic health guarantee and health certificate. $500 Non-Refundable deposit to hold, which will come off the price of the puppy. Deposits are ONLY refundable in extreme cases, if something unforeseen comes up with your puppy while in my care. However, a deposit can be moved from your puppy to a future litter if needed.”

Program update on 28 Mar •…We are beyond thrilled with Legend! 🏆 He earned his AKC ATT (Temperament Test) title, successfully passing both his 1st and 2nd assessments on his very first AKC event. He also passed his OFA eye exam ✔️ So proud of how well he handled everything he truly gave it his all this weekend. ❤️ We’re headed back tomorrow for Fast CAT and Farm Dog… wish us luck! 🐾✨

He is the progeny of two imported South African parents and carries an impressive pedigree rooted in Champion South African Karonika, Stoneleigh, and premier UK lines. His lineage includes a KUSA Grand Champion grandsire as well as an Ireland Grand Champion grandsire, bringing together generations of proven structure, temperament, and excellence. Legend’s distinguished heritage is reflected in his overall balance, coat quality, and confident demeanor, making him a valuable addition to our breeding program. Legend has completed health & genetically testing and he's PRA 1-5 clear.

Meet Charlie! Charlie is a beautiful chocolate & tan dapple smooth coat with a sweet, affectionate personality. He loves to cuddle and is very people-focused, intelligent, and eager to engage. He is also very scent-driven and enjoys using his natural hunting instincts, which makes him both fun and engaging to work with. Charlie has completed full health and genetic screening through Embark and is PRA 1/5 clear, along with being clear of 250+ genetic conditions commonly found in dachshunds. He carries for dilute, roan, and piebald.

Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Generalized, Full Embark Panel, DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
