Meet the breeder

I'm Sheridan R., the breeder behind Sunsprite Aussies located in Dallas, GA. We focus on producing quality Australian Shepherds. We focus on temperament, health and structure & movement. They can do it all from conformation, sports and of course being stable well adjusted loving pets!

Q. & A. with Sheridan

  • Why did you start breeding?

My desire to get into conformation, and dog sports led me to Aussies. With how adoring they are to their people and their zest of life, I knew Aussies were it for me. They love to go do anything, love to love their people & I love how their brains work. I decided to breed to be able to share this wonderful breed with others and give people the chance to fall in love with them the same way I did!
  • What makes your program special?

I put temperament & health first and foremost. Correct structure & movement are also key factors. My dogs are able to lounge around the house and cuddle or head out in the ring, onto the FCAT field, go hiking on trails and more. They truly are do it all dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Sheridan

Sheridan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Sheridan partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

“I take great care in carefully screening each puppy. I take notice of temperaments, drives and personalities as soon as they start to shine. I want every family to get the exact puppy they are hoping for so they can enjoy their dog for the rest of their lives. I utilize Volhard temperament testing, evaluation of structure and from there begin the matching process at 7-8wks of age. If there is more than one puppy that could fit a home I allow the home to pick between the two. I also offer videos and face time so families can see and watch the puppies as they grow up!”
