I'm Dave N., the breeder behind Superior Family Kennels located in Downingtown, PA. We are a small hobby breeder of quality AKC German Rottweilers and Yorkshire Terriers. Puppies are raised in a family environment, around children and other pets. We are experienced, reputable Rottweiler breeders. We take great pride in our dogs, our puppies, and our program. Our breedings are carefully thought out so we are able to match pedigrees, body types, temperaments, and personalities in order to share only well-bred puppies.

    We only have 1-2 litters a year and they are raised since day one inside our home with our children.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Yorkshire Terrier puppies include chocolate and tan, parti, and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Dave

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Dave partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis & Polyneuropathy (JLPP)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    It was meant to be... I found my soul dog from Dave. He is very informative, kind and his family take very good care of their dogs. My guy is 10 weeks n he is so smart and really responding to the new flow n routine. He actually put me in touch w my guys sister n her owner... he is so healthy n lovable my little yorkie.. you do have to baby proof the house bc they want to eat everything as baby puppies. But truly I found my new family member n I'm forever grateful to Dave!

    The whole experience with Dave was wonderful. He was in constant contact, responsive to all questions and very easy to work with. The day of pick was smooth without issue. We were able to see all of his dogs, and he was more than welcoming with us into his home. Everything was clean and the dogs are all well taken care of. The pup we chose is wonderful!
