I'm Kayla P., the breeder behind Svajonė Kennels located in Sparta, NJ. We're passionate about raising well-rounded pups who will excel in any venue with their new families. We offer top-quality puppies from carefully planned litters. We focus on temperament, soundness, and beauty. Our dogs are family members first and foremost. We're passionate, responsible breeders who truly love our dogs.
Q. & A. with Kayla
Why did you start breeding?
My first dog was a “Hanging Tree Cowdog,” a mixed breed. The parents had no health testing and I got to pick out my own puppy at 6 weeks old when I took it home. He grew up to be aggressive towards both dogs and people. I contacted the breeder and he told me to drop him off at a shelter. I decided that I wanted to be a breeder with strong ethics for dogs so other families wouldn’t have to go through that.
What makes your program special?
My dogs are bred to produce healthy, sound, and versatile pups. My ultimate goal is to produce athletic and well-structured canines that can excel within various performance venues and have the ability to be the greatest family companions. As a breeder, I feel a sense of responsibility to prioritize the overall health and temperament of each of my puppies and to ensure that they are loved and well cared for prior to joining their forever homes. My puppies are raised with Puppy Culture, Avidog, and the Puppy Puzzle Program. Each puppy goes through temperament, structure, and several drive evaluations before being assigned. I take pride in my program and look forward to connecting with you!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
