I'm Jocelyn H., the breeder behind SweetVirginia Cavalier King Charles Spaniels located in Spotsylvania, VA. I breed to improve the health and longevity of the Cavalier, and to the breed standard. This goal includes the practice of annual health testing by Board Certified Specialists. I adhere to the Code of Ethics found in the CKCSC-USA web site. My Cavaliers are first and foremost my companions, curled up in my lap or playing ball and with each other. Smart, charming, and delightful!
Q. & A. with Jocelyn
Why did you start breeding?
Having been a dog groomer for more than 20 years, I knew I wanted to dive headfirst into the "perfect" companion breed, the Cavalier. With the known genetic health issues, I wanted to be an integral part of improving the breed.
What makes your program special?
Most of the Cavalier breeders I know and show with, comply just as easily with the Breeder Code of Ethics (CKCSC-USA). Perhaps my attention to detail when choosing pairs, choosing families, follow up, and a private Facebook group where I share the current science pertaining to our dogs, in particular the Cavalier. There's more!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“Approved families are asked to provide a verbal commitment at 9 weeks of age. This takes the pressure off of an early commitment, perhaps a hasty one. Of course, an early commitment for "a" puppy is perfectly acceptable.”
Contract & health guarantee
Jocelyn may provide a written contract or
health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps
protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you
both have a clear understanding of the terms of your
