Q. & A. with Meryl
Why did you start breeding?
At Sweetwater Newfoundland, we focus on breeding excellence. My dogs regularly compete in the show ring and are proven champions. Puppies are bred for health, temperament, and to meet conformation standards. I strive to not only produce beautiful puppies, but to help promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Newfoundland breed will continue to thrive for generations to come.
What makes your program special?
I am a professional handler of Newfoundlands. I do not breed my dogs unless they are fully healthy and genetically tested. I am dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming my pups. I take pride in raising well-tempered and socialized puppies who can excel in work, show, or as beloved companions. I love what I do and truly want the very best for my puppies and their forever families.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
