I'm Sonya S., the breeder behind Swope's Rockhouse Farm located in West Plains, MO. We are a small breeding operation that focuses on quality over quantity. We breed conformationally correct puppies according to the breed standards. Our puppies are well socialized and fully vetted before they go to their new homes. We play with our puppies from birth until they go to their new homes, and we send lots of updates while the puppy is with us. We are also available for questions after the puppy is in its new home.
Q. & A. with Sonya
Why did you start breeding?
Many years ago, we raised Boxers and Basset Hounds. Our first Lab was a Christmas gift from me to my husband. After getting our first Aussie, we fell in love with the breed. We knew we wanted to share that love with others. The rest is history.
What makes your program special?
We spend a lot of time making sure our dogs have the best care possible. We give them quality feed, exercise them daily, and take them to the vet as needed. Our puppies are played with daily. We follow a strict vaccination schedule that goes above and beyond many programs. Our puppies see the vet at least 3 times before they are 8 weeks old to ensure our families receive a healthy, happy puppy.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
