Sycamore Kennels

Chad & Lori N.

Breeder of Labrador Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Chad & Lori N., the breeder behind Sycamore Kennels located in Osceola, IN. We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our puppies.

Q. & A. with Chad & Lori

  • Why did you start breeding?

We are a family that lives to hunt. We own a duck call company called Fat Lady Game Calls. As such we set out to acquire and train the finest gun dogs we could find. We are NOT trainers but we have become students of pedigrees and breeding. We invested in pedigrees that we wanted to hunt over for the rest of our lives and in order to do so we were forced to breed our own.
  • What makes your program special?

We are a small intimate breeder. We raise the one or two litters we have each year in our home. We feel that socialization and personalization separates our litters from the big kennels that simply don't have the time or hands to give each pup the attention our environment affords. We are super selective in our interviewing process when awarding pups. Candidly not everyone makes it through it.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
