Meet the breeder

I'm Sandra S., the breeder behind Sydney’s Goldens located in Florida. We strive to produce quality golden retriever puppies that come from health tested parents, have wonderful temperaments, and are raised in our home with a proper foundation to help ensure they have the very best start to life as possible. We provide daily photos and updates on our puppies through our FB page. We also do weekly photoshoots! We know how exciting the first 8 weeks of your puppies life are and how they change so quickly and we want to share every moment we can with you.

Q. & A. with Sandra

  • Why did you start breeding?

At Sydney’s Goldens we do puppy culture! Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) begins on day 3 and continues through day 16. Research shows that tiny struggles and stresses in appropriate small doses are actually good for puppies and will help them grow into strong, healthy well-adjusted adults. Benefits include greater tolerance to stress, greater resistance to disease, faster adrenal system, stronger heart rate and stronger heartbeat. This is a gift that a breeder can only give their puppies once during the window of 3-16 days. Early Scent Introduction (ESI) also begins on day 3 and continues through day 16 and is a procedure we do that helps puppies with their nose awareness and confidence. It enhances their ability to identify and react to scents. Introducing puppies to one new scent each day helps create a more aware and alert dog, which in return makes them an even better companion.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised in a very hands on household, so when we say our pups are family-raised we really mean that! Our pups grow up in and around our home, and our very loving, very busy, very noisy family all take part in helping each pup grow up with a sweet, well-socialized, and happy personality.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“After a litter is born, we will reach out to families who have filled out a Puppy Application form so that they can join our official waitlist. We will collect a refundable deposit holding fee to reserve your place on the waitlist for either a male or female puppy. This holding fee will go towards the total purchase price of your puppy. Our puppy selection order will follow the waitlist order. Families do not get to select their puppies until after they turn 4 weeks old when they will have a chance to come to my home and meet the puppies in person! Video chat is available for those who are unable to attend. Each family will have a scheduled time frame to spend one on one time with the litter so you can meet my family, our dogs, and all of the puppies before deciding which sweet baby will become part of your family! Once you've decided on your furever friend, we will collect a deposit to hold your selected puppy with the remaining balance due when you come to pick up your puppy after they turn 8 weeks old. Case by case situation.”

I have never imagined such a conscientious and responsive breeder. I first chose Sandra from Sydney's Goldens due to her genetic testing and obvious knowledge about the breed, but I learned to love her for her engagement with me as a future puppy parent. We got weekly photos and weights as they grew and information about their personalities when we went to choose our baby. Our puppy came with not just shot records, but information on the food she was on, treats that were good, feeding schedule she was used to, a blanket the mother dog had slept on - everything that was needed to make the transition healthy and happy. Sandra even drove for hours to meet us with our pup so we didn't have to book a motel! I have adopted rescue dogs and have used other breeders, but have always had to wonder what their early life was like. Why they had issues with this or that. With this breeder, I got to see my puppy grow, and she came to us well-adjusted, curious, bold, loving people and everything a puppy should be. I hope Sandra stays in the business a long time for all those who love Golden Retrievers.

We had an excellent experience with Sandra, great communication, weekly photo updates, and very helpful information and supplies at puppy pickup time. Our boy Toasty is a dream, well on his way to potty and crate trained on day 2 at home. We are in love!

Working with Sandra with Sydney’s Goldens was a wonderful experience. She was open to all of my questions and was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. Her dogs are healthy, beautiful, and clearly very well cared for. If we ever decide to get another Golden, we would absolutely work with her again.

Sandra was incredible! She had excellent communication, was very knowledgeable, and guided us every step of the way. She also shares the cutest photos to keep us in the loop during the first 8 weeks. As first-time dog owners, Sandra really set us up for success with special tips and guidance even after we picked up our puppy. We were so amazed that she was already partially trained and had an amazing temperament. It was clear that Sandra went above and beyond to nurture the puppies from day one and prepare them for family life. She truly is passionate about breeding and it shows in the care she provides for the puppies. We highly recommend Sandra and are so thankful we found our newest addition to the family!

Sandra was extremely amazing to work with. She was super easy to communicate with and she loves her dogs. Our boy Rome came home a couple of days ago and he has been the perfect addition to our family. We cannot thank Syndeys Goldens enough 🐾

Sandra was amazing to work with. She clearly loves her dogs and takes amazing care of the puppies. Our puppy, Ginger, has easily transitioned into our home thanks to Sandra’s care and attention. I’ve already recommended her to others who are looking for a Golden Retriever.
