Meet the breeder

I'm R Lorene J., the breeder behind Ta-Koda Boston Terriers located in Salem, OR. We first fell in love with the Boston Terrier breed in the late 80s when my mother traded some Avon for a 12 week old Boston Terrier puppy. We have had at least one in our home ever since. It is our goal to help ensure the future of the Boston breed through responsible breeding of healthy dogs.

Q. & A. with R Lorene

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was in High school when I got my first Boston and haven't been without one since. We have been breeding and showing them since the early 2000s.
  • What makes your program special?

When you get a Ta-Koda Boston you get a relationship with us. We are there when these puppies were born and we will be there with you throughout the lifetime of this puppy and will shed tears along with you at the end. We want our dogs to excel in their new homes. Its our goal to offer puppies who are outgoing, loving and have had enough different experiences that they have no trouble transitioning into their new homes.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
