I'm Angie T., the breeder behind Taliaferro Kennel located in Boardman, OH. At Taliaferro Kennels, we raise happy, healthy puppies! We breed with passion and integrity so we’re able to responsibly contribute to growing these amazing breeds that we love so much. It’s important to us to share the gift of living with one of our puppies with other families. We practice ENS (early neurological stimulation) with our puppies and all of our puppies leave microchipped, dewormed, vet checked, and their first vaccination. Our adults are genetic tested and OFA certified.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started showing dogs 39 years ago and then it just naturally turned into breeding.

  • What makes your program special?

    One of the main reasons why I started breeding was because I was so tired of it being done poorly. After losing one of my own dogs at the age of 2 from a severe congenital spinal disease, I decided to do it my way and that includes genetic testing, OFA certification, as well as CHIC certification.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include blenheim and tri-color. Papillon puppies include black brown and white, white and red, white and sable, and white black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Angie

Angie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include between $2,500 - $7,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the health guarantee, AKC registration (when applicable), vet check, microchip, vaccination and dewormings, as well as a nice puppy kit. All of our dogs are genetic tested and OFA certified multi generationally. Full AKC registration is available for an additional fee. A deposit is only required if you would like to be placed on our waiting list or if you want to hold a particular puppy.”

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
