I'm Terry M., the breeder behind Terry Middleton's Field Spaniels located in Waukesha, WI. I produce top-quality pups that will continue to excel in their chosen field, whether that be showing, or as an active companion. I strive to produce quality puppies for families that are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive and have wonderful temperaments. I raise all of my dogs with love in my home. I have high expectations for my puppies and make sure to place each one with an enriching and loving family that will match their temperament and personality.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I am a preservationist breeder striving to maintain and improve upon the unique qualities that the Field Spaniel has to offer. It is my passion to breed these incredible dogs and help ensure the future of the Field Spaniel. I pride myself on helping all of my clients find the right fit for their needs and lifestyle.
  • What makes your program special?

    I am a professional handler of Field Spaniels. I do not breed my dogs unless they are fully healthy and genetically tested. I am dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, socializing, and training my pups. I love what I do and truly want the very best for my puppies and their forever families. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the Field Spaniel line.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • OFA/CHIC DNA Repository

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
