Odin – The All Father Anderson Stud of the Pack 🖤 Odin, affectionately known simply as “Odin,” is the devoted and charismatic stud of our pack. His journey to Anderson Farms began with a trip to St. Louis, Missouri, after we discovered him online and realized he met every single qualification for our “perfect” stud. With both of his parents AKC-registered, Odin proudly holds AKC registrations himself, and his genetic panel is completely clear. Odin’s striking tricolor Dobie pattern — a bold blend of black, tan, and crisp white markings — makes him a showstopper, but it’s his personality that truly wins hearts. He is a complete love bug, happiest when snuggled up for a cuddle or soaking in gentle pets. True to his gentlemanly ways, he rarely gives kisses, but his affection shines through in his calm, steady presence. And when it comes to his ladies, Odin is endlessly attentive and gentle. Weighing in at the perfect 8–9 lbs fully grown, Odin is ideally sized to produce healthy, small standard Shih Tzus. His flawless genetics include carrying the dilute gene, which, when paired with the right female, can produce rare and beautiful blue or lavender puppies — without the thinning hair gene. As a proven stud, he has sired multiple healthy litters each year, blessing families with puppies who are as beautiful in temperament as they are in appearance. Odin is more than just our stud — he is a cornerstone of our breeding program, ensuring our lines remain strong, healthy, and exceptional for generations to come.

Stella, affectionately known as Stella Bella, is the wise and gentle alpha of our pack. She was born on September 25, 2018, and holds the cherished role of the oldest and most nurturing member of our family. Stella’s journey began when she became the very first Shih Tzu in our family. After careful research into dog breeds that matched our lifestyle, a Shih Tzu was the clear choice. Though initially registered through the CKC, genetic testing later revealed Stella’s unique heritage as 85% Shih Tzu and 15% Maltese, adding a special twist to her story. One of Stella’s greatest joys is cuddling close on a lazy afternoon, completely content to sink into the softness of Momma’s lap or nestle beside her in the quiet moments. She has a special love for floating gently in the lake, a serene escape where she seems to relax and recharge, enjoying the cool water against her fur. Stella also takes great pride in her favorite toys, carrying them around proudly as if inviting everyone to join in her little world of play and comfort. These moments reveal a playful yet peaceful side of her — a gentle reminder that even the queen of the pack cherishes the simple pleasures. Her laid-back personality defines her spirit. Stella is a true Momma’s girl, preferring the comfort of her humans' bed well into the afternoon. While she may be selective about who picks her up, she shows her softer side by cuddling with Daddy, especially when the weather turns gloomy. She lives by the rule that the day officially begins around 2 PM—why rush when you can enjoy the simple pleasures of cozy warmth and love? What makes Stella truly extraordinary is her unwavering devotion to our kennel family. Over the years, she has lovingly cared for nearly every puppy born here, often nursing other mothers’ pups long after they have weaned. Her nurturing heart and strong leadership keep the pack bonded and balanced, making her the irreplaceable matriarch we all admire.

Amyethst is a female Shih Tzu over 3 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Sheena decided to make her part of their program. Sheena has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Black Ice Angel Anderson – The Devoted Daughter of the Pack Angel, lovingly called simply “Angel,” is the shadow that follows Momma everywhere — the most loyal and devoted companion in our kennel family. Her full name, Black Ice Angel Anderson, has a special history. “Black Ice” was inspired by another kennel whose beautiful puppies left a lasting impression, while “Angel” comes from a lifelong love of angels dating back to Momma’s childhood. Angel’s story began when she joined our family as part of a stud service arrangement. She is the cherished daughter of our former stud, Onyx, and our breeder friend’s beloved Darci — whose lineage includes prestigious show lines, adding an extra touch of excellence to Angel’s bloodline. With AKC registration and a completely clear Embark genetic panel, Angel is both a treasured family member and an important part of our breeding program. Her nearly solid black coat, accented only by a small patch of white on her chest, mirrors her father’s striking beauty. Once or twice a year, she blesses families with beautiful, small standard Shih Tzu puppies, carrying on the legacy of her lineage. Beyond her role as a mother, Angel is also Momma’s service dog in training, learning to assist with mental health support — including calming panic attacks, easing anxiety, and grounding during dissociation. Whether curled up for cuddles or swimming side-by-side with Momma, Angel’s greatest joy is simply being close. She is more than just part of the pack — she is Momma’s heart dog.
