I'm Tara M., the breeder behind Thunderstruck Collies located in Golden Eagle, IL. We are a small family run dog breeder in Illinois and partner with our family in Arizona to provide quality pets. We strive to provide well-rounded puppies for a lifetime of companionship. Each adult dog is a member of our family first and their safety and care are at our highest priority. What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable merle and white, sable merle, sable and white, sable, blue merle white and tan, blue merle and white, black white and tan, blue merle, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Tara
Tara has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes microchipped, vet checked, parents genetic tested, vaccinated, wormed, vaccination record, raised in a home, socialized with our family, health guarantee, etc. Deposit goes towards purchase price of puppy. Will take back dog at any age if you are unable to care for it.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
