I'm Shanna S., the breeder behind TS Performance Horses & Dachshunds located in Choctaw, OK. We decided to start breeding to promote healthy puppies with excellent personalities, temperament, and conformation. Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since! Our dachshunds travel to rodeos with me all over the country. When I'm home, they spend time outside in the arena and at the barn with me. They're well rounded, active dogs that love to snuggle up with you when the day is over.
Q. & A. with Shanna
Why did you start breeding?
My family bred miniature dachshunds when I was in high school and 14 years later I still have my best travelling partner from our first litter - she has been to 2 Canadian providences and 23 states with me. I moved to Oklahoma for pharmacy school, and upon graduation I decided to pick back up with raising best friends for other people to love and enjoy.
What makes your program special?
My dogs are not just a breeding program, they're my companions first & foremost. They've travelled from Pennsylvania to to Québec to Oklahoma to Nebraska & everywhere in between. They don't live in kennels, they live in the house & snuggle up on the couch to watch TV with me. They get to spend time at the barn & play in the pond while I take care of my horses. They truly are great dogs.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Winnie
Winnie is a sweet girl that loves spending time with her people! She greets the mail lady daily and gets along with other dogs, ducks, chickens, horses, and children. Shanna was absolutely amazing to work with! She was so responsive right from the beginning. Cooper is my first puppy; she made the whole process stress-free as she answered all of my questions and sent me lots of pictures of him leading up to our pick-up date. We coordinated a day for me to come out to visit him a few weeks before he was due to come home, so I could meet him, which I really appreciated. Overall, amazing breeder! So grateful for her.

Shanna was kind to meet me on the evening of November 4th, to deliver my puppy. Keep in mind this was immediately after the tornado struck Choctaw where their property was damaged. She went above and beyond, regardless of what her and her husband faced at their home and property.
My puppy is healthy, happy, and a great joy in my life!

Shana was absolutely perfect to work with. Answered the questions I had, sent pictures, and was easy to meet with to pick up our puppy. First time using Good Dogs and with the experience we had we will do it again. Gracie is our puppies name and she is a ball of fire but has already won our hearts.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
