I'm Ann C., the breeder behind Two Rivers Chesapeakes located in Yellville, AR. Lots of time and research goes into our established breeding program to insure we provide the best temperament, training and health so that our dogs are good citizens whether socializing or hunting.
Q. & A. with Ann
Why did you start breeding?
Chesapeake’s have been in our family since the mid 80’s. I was immediately drawn to their intellect and tenacity to please.
My husband and I spent a lot of time training our dogs using traditional and modern techniques and critiquing the best practices for our desired results so that we can insure you have a companion that truly matters!
What makes your program special?
I absolutely love this breed and enjoy training. They’re so intelligent and eager to please. I’ve taken my time researching and studying this breeds health, temperament and training requirements. I’ve trained my dogs the past 3 years to be model citizens and great hunting companions. I truly believe it’s an honor to do what I love and that when you do it shows. My dogs will speak for themselves.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark brown, deadgrass, and brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
