I'm Alex R., the breeder behind VDR Rottweilers located in Hendersonville, TN. We are an active show/working kennel. VDR Rottweilers is one of the most successful German-style kennels in the USA. As breeder knowledge and experience are key, I’ve spent my entire adult life learning about the total Rottweiler. PART OF THE AKC PROGRAM BRED WITH H.E.A.R.T.

Why did you start breeding?
When i was a kid i was intrigued with dogs. Rottweilers especially. When i was 18 years old I bought my First German Rottweiler for breeding . By the age of 21 i was already traveling to Germany looking to learn more about the total Rottweiler.What makes your program special?
We don’t import dogs via online. 99% of dogs imported into this country are sold online now. I specifically fly over to Europe and scout dogs for our breeding program. Attending shows , working events , breeder seminars etc. im also the only Rottweiler breeder in the USA certified by the German Rottweiler breed club ADRK as a national level decoyWhat are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and mahogany. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
"Price is based on needs and type of puppy to fit your family. Show homes , pet homes , working homes. Limited and full AKC registrations. Pet home puppies aren’t for breeding purposes. We ask you take your time. Do you research first! Nothing is selling fast, we take our time. Once you decided my program is for you. We take a $500 deposit."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis & Polyneuropathy (JLPP)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
