I'm Shauna T., the breeder behind Velveteen Bostons located in Lexington, SC. I offer Boston Terrier puppies that may range in color but are mostly seal, seal brindle, or brindle with white. My puppies are house raised, handled often, well socialized, and litter box trained. They receive their vaccines at 8 weeks of age, have regular dewormings, and are started on NexGard.
Q. & A. with Shauna
Why did you start breeding?
I love the Boston Terrier breed and have always wanted to learn more about them, their history and the evolution of the breed and standards, as well as have my own litters. I began my search for my breeding dogs in 2019, starting with Cletus in May of 2020. Since I have added Daisy and Holley.
What makes your program special?
My program is special because I am invested in learning about the history of Boston Terriers, their coat colors and patterns, and genetics so that I can breed good quality healthy puppies. My dogs are hand raised right in my own home alongside cats and fluffy yard birds (chickens).
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include seal brindle and white, seal and white, brindle and white, black and white, and black brindle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Norman got his last snuggle in the cuddle puddle this morning after a good breakfast and some play time. Then we were off to go meet his mama. Daddy Cletus rode along to keep him company. He’s got the best mama! I’m so excited for them both!

Shauna was so amazing to work with! She is very knowledgeable about Boston Terriers and is great in transitioning puppies from her care. She sent our puppy with food, a blanket, toys, and top-notch documentation of vet/vaccine records as well as microchip information and AKC information. I would highly recommend Shauna! She made our experience fantastic.

I had a great experience dealing with Shauna. Great communication throughout the entire experience. I loved the fact that she cares so much about her puppies. This was a new experience for me in my search for a new puppy and Shauna not only make it easy for but also a pleasurable experience. And my little boy Spike that she sent me was better than advertised. He has been unbelievable and I can't thank Shauna enough because you can see that he was raised with a lot of love.
