I'm Sophie and B., the breeder behind Vibranium Dobermans located in California. Our focus is on creating healthy, long lived, social, athletic rockstars that any family would be proud to call their own! We strive for a Doberman healthy in mind and in body. That means we do annual bloodwork, annual Holter and Echocardiograms, and not just one-time DNA tests!
Q. & A. with Sophie and
Why did you start breeding?
It happened when we fell deeply in love with our first dog, Ivy. Ivy created a vision for the ideal dog: smart, resilient, incredible food drive, stable in all environments, and, most importantly, healthy until the day she died at nearly 13 years. Brian and Sophie began Vibranium with the purchase of Ipa and we strive for the same goals: healthy, long-lived, intelligent dogs!
What makes your program special?
We have high standards for temperament, health, and longevity. Unlike other breeders who only DNA test, we actually do annual Holter and Echo screenings! We also live in an urban environment, and our goal is to produce dogs that thrive in cities, make great family pets, and have drive to excel in sports. We love spunky, social, smart Dobes who can do it all - and live long enough to enjoy it all!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Her puppies are expected to be friendly, highly motivated, and lovely for sports!
Parent health testing
Vibranium Dobermans reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Doberman Pinschers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
