Von Hunter Rottweilers

Megan H.

Breeder of Rottweilers

Meet the breeder

I'm Megan H., the breeder behind Von Hunter Rottweilers located in Yelm, WA. A well socialized, well trained Rottweiler is a joy to be around. Each puppy I bring to this world is precious, and I do my absolute best to give them a fantastic start to life. I am working hard to have a bloodline that holds an amazing temperament, is genetically healthy, and structurally correct.

Q. & A. with Megan

  • Why did you start breeding?

Growing up, my family always had a farm dog. Experiencing the health and temperament issues of some dogs turned me to well-bred purebreds, and I was hooked. I spent years researching the perfect breed for our lifestyle and was drawn to the versatility of the Rottweiler. I quickly became an ambassador for the breed, and ethically breeding seemed like the right thing for us. It definitely was!
  • What makes your program special?

I think what sets our program apart is how we raise our puppies. The pups are raised in my home, socialized from the start with my children, our other animals, and other people. I start obedience and potty-training before they go to their new homes. We Volhard temperament test our puppies and match them with the best fitting home. I do my best to set the puppies and puppy families up for success.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
