I'm Rene V., the breeder behind VonDoodles Bernedoodles & Sheepadoodles located in Olathe, KS. Connection, compassion, and commitment! These are things we strive to provide as a small family-owned & operated doodle program. We breed with integrity, health, and welfare of our dogs as the number one priority. No testing is spared & all dogs must meet conformation and temperament requirements.
Q. & A. with Rene
Why did you start breeding?
A few years ago I owned my first Bernedoodle. I have always owned a dog, but primary rescue dogs. The Bernedoodle was the first designer breed I had encountered. I fell in love with the hybrid and began a two-year pursuit of gleaming all that I could about doodles, animal reproductive health and what it takes to be a responsible breeder. It’s morphed from a hobby for me to a passion.
What makes your program special?
We take great measures to ensure that the dogs we breed are in the best health possible so that they provide many years of companionship with their families. Our program is not only built around executing all the appropriate health testing but also compassion, care, and love. We love what we do and are passionate about our dogs. They come first above anything else.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Bernedoodle puppies are standard size. Sheepadoodle puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Sheepadoodle puppies are black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Birdie, mom
Sheepadoodle
About Birdie
Birdie could easily be named FOMO, because she simply can’t stand missing out on anything, whether it's a grand event or a small moment. Her favorite spot is right by our side—whether she’s with us, on us, or all up in our business. Birdie showers us with endless affection, concern, and enthusiastic licks. She’s caring, energetic, and a friend to everyone. On laid-back days, she adores having furry friends over for playdates. Birdie absolutely loves having furry pals over for playdates, especially on those relaxed days. She’s always up for fun and makes every moment special. She is wonderfully predictable, which we absolutely adore. With so many grandchildren, granddogs, and visitors around her guardians property, it’s reassuring to know she will always be on her best behavior. This dependable nature makes her an exceptional companion! We’re excited about the prospect of her becoming a great mom someday and can’t wait to see her take on that role.
