I'm Ashley D., the breeder behind Wanderlust Beaucerons located in Haslet, TX. A strong stable temperament is a top priority for us. All of our dogs need to pass health testing. Our dogs live in the house with us and are family members. Our overall goal with all of our dogs is to find the sports they love and give them the opportunity to thrive.

Why did you start breeding?
I use to train, show, and raise horses so the thought of wanting to breed dogs came from that. I discussed wanting to learn this aspect with my mentor and she has happily assisted me in learning the ins and outs.What makes your program special?
I believe my program is special in the dogs I have access to. Most are working bred with lines you don’t see a lot in the US. I am opting to look at studs in other countries or from other lines, not just the males I own.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Kea
Kea is unshown due to a strip of white on her chest. Her chest has been shaved and there are 3 tiny pea sized area of white, all of which would easily fit within a quarter with room to spare. Due to the length of the hairs and the staggered position of the pea-sized white, it creates a white strip. For this reason and because the AKC standard states that visible white greater than 1" is not allowed in the breed ring and is a DQ, she will never be shown in the AKC breed ring. That said, she is correct in structure; medium-small in size, but well within the standard. Full and correct dentition, scissors bite. Kea was started in French Ring and loves sport work. We are currently working towards her Rally titles. She has 2 Q's in UKC rally 1.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
