I'm Joanna W., the breeder behind Washburns bostons located in Goshen, OH. We decided to start breeding to share the best possible puppies with excellent personalities, temperament, and most of all health! The sweet, loyal, and playful disposition of our dogs inspired us to begin responsibly breeding to expand the breed and share them with others.
Q. & A. with Joanna
Why did you start breeding?
I love breeding and l enjoy the work involved. We do not over breed as too many pups creates a problem so usually one litter a year. This year we have had two litters but that's unusual.
What makes your program special?
My puppies are well socialized and ready to fit into homes at 8 weeks old. They are wormed and vet checked but the extra work is in my home. They meet big dogs, cats, children and a constant stream of people. If it's a summer litter they play outside a lot and meet the mini donkeys, poke their noses into the duck pen and run around in the chicken run. They leave confident and well adjusted to face the next stage of their lives.l can help with transportation or a nanny to travel with pup
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include seal brindle and white, seal and white, brindle and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
