Q. & A. with Adrianne
Why did you start breeding?
I decided that I wanted a dog when my husband was traveling for work. I researched breeds for a year. My husband brought home a photo of a client's dogs and said "these dogs don't bark when I go to their home." I then read everything I could to learn more about the breed. The first two breeders I contacted didn't respond to my earnest inquiry. So, I joined the breed club and started attending dog shows. And have made many contacts and friends in the dog fancy over the years. My first Cavalier is now 14 years old. I brought him home at the age of 12 weeks. He was campaigned in the show ring for the better part of a year, and did very well. He also received a Westminster invitation. His breeder is now an AKC judge of Cavaliers. I want to do my part as an ethical breeder and produce healthy, well-rounded pups.I use some parts of Puppy Culture to help with this goal. I work with a wonderful mentor with decades of experience who has helped me along the way!
What makes your program special?
I am devoted to ensuring there are happy and healthy Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for others to enjoy, and I do so by health testing, temperament and structural evaluations, and competing in the show ring. My commitment is to provide you with a professional and friendly puppy-buying experience, and that includes always having responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming my puppies. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the Cavalier breed and my dogs first and foremost. I also show my dogs in conformation although the Covid Pandemic has interfered with this.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
