I'm Dee L., the breeder behind Whispering Willows Kennels located in Holden Beach, NC. My pups are part of our family and I spend time training and preparing them to be ready for a variety of lifestyles. We socialize them with other animals and basic house training to prepare them for their future home.

Why did you start breeding?
I have been raising Yorkies since 2009 and finally reached a place in my life where I am able to dedicate more time to what I love! That is raising the most wonderful breed of pups and preparing them for a life with others who will love them like I do.What makes your program special?
My program offers puppies in a variety of colors who are bred for their health, personality and genetics. My puppies are CKC registered and carry the parti trait. As a breeder, I have spent time researching and building my program with an understanding the genetics that bring the colors, traits and health history necessary to maintain a strong, healthy gene pool!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include parti and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Teddy
Teddy is super playful and loving. He loves to splash in his pool in the summer! He is adventurous, curious and loving. He is incredibly smart, following complex commands and nonverbal hand signals quickly during his training. He is the best neck warmer when your lap is full, but also willing to be the independent guardian when you can't give him your undivided attention.

About Callie
Callie is a petit princess. She does not believe in wet grass, cold temperatures or getting out of bed before she's had what she deems sufficient tummy rubs for the day. Her favorite place to be is in my lap or arms. Since the day she joined our family, she has melted my heart with her sweet demeanor. She is typically the quiet and laid back pup in the crowd, but loves a little game of tag with Teddy or our cats to keep her agility up! She is a wonderful mother to her pups.

We have had our sweet puppy for 2 weeks now and he’s the best boy, he brings so much love and joy to our home. He sleeps through the night in his crate, Dee was kind enough to give us a blanket with mom’s scent on it. She drove out of her way to deliver him to us. She gave him so much love and it shows. I highly recommend getting a puppy from Dee, she kept us updated on his progress, sending us pictures along the way. Thank you Dee for raising such a great puppy!
