I'm Kevin W., the breeder behind WOLFOX shiba inu located in California. We raise pups without forsaking health or happiness of our dogs as pets first! Imported, affectionate, loyal, easily trained, DNA tested, genetically diverse, show quality. Temperament is very important to us. This is a job of passion. We set goals for the preservation & betterment of Shiba Inu.

Getting a puppy from Kevin
Kevin has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Kevin partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“We determine whether a home is suitable for the Shiba Inu breed in particular as well as for a dog in general by our standards of care and attention. Puppies are adaptable to a degree so we let you choose first based on your preferred sex, color, and temperament of the parents. If a potential home is looking for something specific that is not expected to result from the parents, or if a pup displays strong character as it ages, adjustments may be made, anywhere from a heads-up to a reassignment. For example -if you are looking for a hyper sporting pup and the puppy you choose is turning out to be exceptionally calm and shy we would inform you and might suggest a different puppy for you. ”
Price
“Pet price (limited registration). Includes Vaccination, Microchip, AKC pedigree, AKC reg. certificate, Orijen puppy Food, potty-training, Veterinary Health Inspection. Not required to be on waitlist. Required to reserve the pup you have chosen until transfer.”

Akina is super funny and silly, -she even sings! She is excitable, and squeals with joy. She's also an impressive athlete with incredibly fast reflexes. She jumps flips chases fetches catches hunts. She's eager and quick to learn for a reward. Lots of squints, airplane ears, and tap dances from this animated fidgity girl. Often smiling and up for a game. Affectionate, good with new people, and loves adventure.

This charming stud is an easy-going yet excitable boy. Outgoing, and confident, he loves exploring new places. He is incredibly sweet, smart, and snuggly, showing a friendly attitude toward new people, other dogs, and kids. He is brave even in unfamiliar situations, and protective of the house. His quirk is being suspicious of people wearing helmets.

Pyro is friendly, affectionate, playful, medium-energy and muscular/masculine. He's an easy going versatile fella. He can enjoy a car ride to meet new people, or stay home and nap alone outside, or play fetch, tug chase, or snuggle up on the couch for movie night.

Misao has been mature since she was 6m old. On the calmer side, she's a rule-follower and is always on her best behavior in the house. She lets loose and relaxes outside, loves to hunt for lizards and rodents. She is a homebody who would rather enjoy our plentiful nature at home than strange places. She likes order, routine and familiar faces. She's extremely loyal to family. Ok with dogs but great with cats.

Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

We were so lucky to be able to receive Juniper(Okami now in our household) after she had been retired from WOLFOX’s program. She has settled into our chaotic family of 3 cats (two Bengals and an Abyssinian) and a 1 year old Siberian Husky. She is so affectionate, easy to bathe and groom, a constant shadow around the house, and gets along with her new found family so well. She now enjoys morning walks, an afternoon of sun bathing, and running around the yard. Rex was so wonderful in matching her with our family to find the best fit for her. +4Rex is very responsive throughout the process, from pre application questions, throughout the puppy's development, and even after I took my little pup home. You can tell that the breeding program is responsibly run, trying to get the puppies to fit homes. My pup Tano is 10 months old now and she's been great!
