I'm Victoria P., the breeder behind Woodland Cavaliers located in Newbury Park, CA. When I saw my first Cavalier I fell in love. I knew that was the Dog for me. I travelled to Europe to pick up my first few Cavaliers. Researching their pedigrees and finding the most healthiest Cavaliers. I then started showing and breeding over my career of 23 yrs have been extremely rewarding.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My show career led me into breeding. And I love reading up puppies helping them be born it is in my DNA.

  • What makes your program special?

    Because we breed the healthiest show quality Cavaliers. We do health testing OFA yearly on heart and patellas. We also do DNA testing for any diseases

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blenheim and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Victoria

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Victoria partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $3,000 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Depending on the pedigree and the markings of the show quality of the puppy. Deposit are made with the intent of purchasing Puppy selected.”

Contract & health guarantee

Victoria may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
