Wrapped Up In Dogs

Cherie E.

Breeder of Bichon Frises

Meet the breeder

I'm Cherie E., the breeder behind Wrapped Up In Dogs located in Redmond, WA. Our dogs are bred for temperament, health, and conformation and raised to be curious, smart, and fun. The puppies are raised in our home with lots of attention to creating dogs who thrive on enrichment and blend easily into their families. We are dedicated to providing each of our puppies with loving and caring forever homes!

Q. & A. with Cherie

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 2011, I helped one of my mentors purchase a puppy female for her breeding program and began helping her plan breedings and training pups. I traveled to the UK in 2014 and fell in love with a female owned by a top breeder there, who is the health officer for UK Bichons. Eight months later, the breeder called to let me know she had a girl available. I ended up importing both the girl and her brother.
  • What makes your program special?

I use Puppy Culture to raise my litters, in my home and am beginning to use elements of Suzanne Clothier's puppy program. Puppies are raised with tons of enrichment, learn that touch is a high-value reward, and learn the basics before they go to new families. Curiosity is encouraged. Snuggling is encouraged. Learning is fun. I am passionate about the Bichon Frise, and my love for these dogs shines through in every aspect of my breeding program.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
