I'm Kasey W., the breeder behind Wright Way Retrievers located in Quinlan, TX. We are a passionate and dedicated breeding program that produces dogs with great working drive, conformation, and temperaments. We are conscientious in our breeding practices, and we breed for health, temperament, drive, and ability. We want our dogs to be biddable and able to succeed wherever they are needed, as well as to thrive in their homes with their families.
Q. & A. with Kasey
What makes your program special?
I’d like to think what sets myself aside from other breeders is really taking into consideration what I have , what my girls best qualities are (and the “bad”) and pair them accordingly to studs that I feel would bring out the best in them AND work with qualities I’d like to see less/more of . I really take into consideration each dogs pedigree, looks, and temperament before choosing to breed.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Bulldog puppies include fawn brindle and white and fawn and white. Labrador Retriever puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
Wright Way Retrievers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Labrador Retrievers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
