I'm Bobbie T., the breeder behind Write Breed Doxies located in Hollis, OK. We adore Dachshunds. Our dogs have enriched our lives in ways we never imagined, and we are so happy to be able to share the wonderful qualities of the breed with others. Owning a Dachshund is a beautiful experience, and it would be our honor to connect you with the perfect new addition to your family.
Q. & A. with Bobbie
Why did you start breeding?
Growing up we raised the occasional litter of puppies, usually from strays we took in or were given to us pregnant. I've always had Dachshunds and began breeding them about 15 years ago when I had a hard time finding dachshund puppies. I began breeding AKC registered Dachshunds around 6 years ago.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are part of the family. We treat them like our children in many ways. We work with our litters on puppy pad training beginning at 3 to 4 weeks old. We take pride in producing healthy, well socialized puppies. We work hard to produce pups that are a little calmer and quieter than typical Dachshunds.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate, fawn (isabella) and cream, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

I had such an amazing experience working with Bobbie! She was incredibly sweet, patient, and helpful every step of the way. She went above and beyond to answer all my questions and make sure I had everything I needed to get the puppy to Hawaii. Even though we didn’t end up completing the purchase due to Hawaii’s quarantine restrictions, she was so kind and understanding about the whole situation. You can truly tell she cares about her puppies and the families they go to. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, trustworthy breeder!

I contacted Bobbie about 2 years ago. She recently let me know that she had a new litter. We fell in love with Willie. He is a treasure and a little pistol. He came puppy pad trained and is adapting to his kennel. He is a happy, fun, cuddley puppy.

I adopted my puppy through Bobbie and she was truly amazing to work with! From the very start, Bobbie was super responsive and willing to answer any questions I and my family had about the puppy and her breeding practices. She was very open and even let us video call her prior to finalizing the adoption. I would also like to note that we live in an entirely different state and Bobbie was willing to fly to deliver our puppy. I could not recommend working with her enough—she is not only professional, but cares deeply about these puppies and finding a great home for them! We truly appreciated her willingness to make this long journey and provide such helpful information on the breed, how to feed/train our puppy, and medical appointments. We are so happy with our happy and healthy puppy!
