I'm Melissa C., the breeder behind Yorkies by Casey located in Polk City, FL. We are committed to responsible breeding with the best interest of our puppies’ health and longevity at the forefront. Over the years we’ve learned valuable methods for socializing our puppies. Each litter has a clean and safe environment to learn and grow so they have the best chance of becoming amazing family members!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include chocolate, tan and white, chocolate and tan, parti, black and tan, and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Melissa

Melissa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,800 - $4,550 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes a health guarantee, which is a 14 day warranty and a 1 year congenital and hereditary warranty. Either AKC or CKC registration. A Florida State Health Certificate which is a clean bill of health, it includes a physical by a vet, vaccines and a deworming. Prices vary depending on Male or Female, registration type, color and size. Non- refundable if you change your mind. It can always go towards a puppy in the future, however the price of a puppy is never locked it. Thanks!”

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Adult Onset Neuropathy (AON), Animal Genetics Panel, DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    We had a wonderful experience with Yorkies by Casey. From the very beginning, Melisa was kind, professional, and knowledgeable about Yorkies. She was quick to respond to our texts, answered all our questions, and kept us updated with photos and messages while we waited until our puppy was ready to come home. Our little Yorkie, Bowie, is healthy, happy, and has the sweetest personality. It’s clear that Melisa cares for her dogs and raises them in a loving environment. The transition home was smooth because Bowie was already well-socialized, comfortable around people, and nearly potty trained. We are beyond grateful that we found Yorkies by Casey through GoodDog online. Bowie has a beautiful face and a perfect build at 6 lbs — with a cute short snout, silky blond hair on his face and legs, and gorgeous silvery highlights across his body. He’s adventurous, loves the beach, is a natural swimmer, and is already becoming the best little paddleboard companion.     If you're wanting a Yorkie puppy and you live in Central Florida, or anywhere really, Melissa of Yorkies by Casey is the one you need to purchase your baby from.
