Brian G.

Breeder of Australian Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Brian G., the breeder behind Zerlahn located in Hennepin County, MN. I'm a passionate, ethical breeder that focuses on preserving, protecting, and maintaining the standards of this magnificent breed. I truly want what's best for my dogs, and my love for this breed is reflected throughout every aspect of my program. I am also involved in the performance ring with my quality Aussies. They are not only champions in show, but champions in my heart, too!

Q. & A. with Brian

  • Why did you start breeding?

Purposeful and ethical breeding is so important for the healthy preservation of the Australian Shepherd. It is important to me not only that I preserve my own phenomenal bloodlines and show lines, but that I am improving this breed with each litter and ensuring the well-being of these dogs for generations more to come. Every litter is always a little different, but it is so fulfilling to see the different personalities and such a joy and challenge to hand-raise each puppy. I love watching them blossom!
  • What makes your program special?

I built my program with care and intention in every step. I am passionate about the health and wellbeing of this breed, and I want my program to be an example of how to responsibly breed high-quality, healthy dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
