Meet the breeder

I'm Kimberly R., the breeder behind 6pk Cattledogs located in Sheridan, OR. Most of my puppies are placed in family homes, that is why the temperament is so important to our breeding stock. We do all required health testing and more cardiac, patella, Dentation, NCL, 5 and 12, as test are added we test to our dogs. To ensure we are only producing quality dogs that will be able to be a family companion or great show dogs for as long as possible.

Q. & A. with Kimberly

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have a great love for the breed and there are to many breeders that do not fully test, show and evaluate their dogs or puppies. And with a lack of mentoring from other breeders the newbies to the breed are left trying to navigate alone. I try to educate and lead by example, Everyone has to start somewhere I have learned over the years what works and what does not work.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs! their health both physical & mental. My dogs are what makes me stand apart. I breed and show my own dogs so their titles are earned on their own merit not who is on the end of the leash. I have breed over 25 AKC Champions, Grand Champions and many more performance titled dogs. I have 5 generations of fully tested OFA certified CHIC numbered dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue mottled, blue speckled, red mottled, red speckled, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Kimberly has always replied promptly to my texts, many times within the hour. She was very accommodating when I couldn’t take the puppy immediately due to some preplanned travel. She kept him an extra 2 weeks. The transition to me was easy and paperwork was mostly predone by Kimberly. My pup is confident, friendly, and very well socialized. We walk trails every evening and he greets all people and dogs appropriately. He has been an easy pup to train due to his great nature and the environment that Kimberly provided.

Kimberly was amazing! First time working with a breeder and couldn’t ask for a better experience. I reserved my puppy at 3 weeks old and I got to watch her grow up through consistent updates. And Kimberly was even willing to meet me half way which was over a 5 hour drive for both of us. You can tell they truly care about there dogs and customers experience

Kimberly’s professionalism, love for the breed, thoughtfulness and care were evident throughout the process of purchasing through picking her up. Our new puppers is acclimating quickly to her new fir, feather and friend family. Kimberly’s attention to socialization and positive behavior support made the integration process very smooth super easy. We’re so proud of our new four paws, and when it comes time to add our next healer to our herd, we will be contacting Kimberly.

I don't think I could have had a better experience. Kimberly made sure I knew what I was getting into with the breed and was able to tell me the dogs personality very well. When I told her I would be traveling down from Alaska to pick the dog up, she was very helpful and worked with me for a very easy pick up. I dont have a single negative thing to say. My family is very happy and I got a new best friend.
