Meet the breeder

I'm A2, the breeder behind A2 Australian Cattle Dogs located in Sahuarita, AZ. What separates me from the next ACD breeder? In my opinion I have a well rounded plan of what I’d expect if I were the buyer. Health is very important, as is breeding puppies from confident and intelligent parents but I also focus very much on those first 8 weeks. Noises, smells, touch & exposure.

Q. & A. with A2

  • Why did you start breeding?

Breeding was never a plan I had for myself until our 1st heeler Foxy. With very little knowledge I focused on confident and beautiful puppies. Over the years, great mentors have instilled great health, ideas for xray exams and teaching new things that will only make a litter more confident and happy.
  • What makes your program special?

Pups stay indoors until they are 4 weeks. Within that time frame we introduce smells, noises and stimulation! After 3wks, it’s off to puppy kennel during the day and indoors at night. We wean at 5wks, introduce kibble, get socialized with children. We run & jump, learn & we grow! Periodically checking with vet & checking in with future families sending adorable photos of their growth.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red speckled and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Ana was a blast to work with! Very consistent with updates about the puppy and shows great care/ support to not only the dog but to us too. Lovely personality and always responds to our questions without a problem. She truly makes the experience so much easier to go through and I'd love to work with her again someday!

Very pleased with Ana and her professional work ethic on breading an amazing breed of dogs. And she guided me through the process of acquiring such an amazing puppy. His name is TUCO Benedicto Pacifico, Juan Maria Ramirez. From the movie, the good bad and ugly. I would definitely refer Ana M with A 2 A C D dogs to my friends and anyone else looking for an A C D. Ana is a great breeder thanks so much for my puppy. Chris

A2 was incredibly responsive and sent us consistent updates about our puppy! Would highly recommend working with them. Getting a new puppy is a little nerve wracking, but A2 made it so much easier and put our minds at ease! Our little guy is happy and thriving.

We love our new blue heeler puppy from A2 Australian Cattle Dogs. We were kept up to date and well informed about how and what our puppy was doing. Ana was very kind and considerate at all times and we would definitely do it again.

Ana was wonderfully helpful in holding on to Max, an ACD puppy, for us until we could pick him up. She was helpful and knowledgeable about the breed and quick to answer questions we had about him. She gave us his health records and his favorite toys, including a blanket scented by his original siblings. I have shared photos with Ana on this charming and active puppy. Thank you Good dog for representing great breeders as well as representing people wanting to choose a pet. We felt protected in your service.
