I'm Bernadette E., the breeder behind Adirondack Labradors located in Nicholville, NY. Our pups are bred from great lines with calm temperaments. All of our dogs and puppies are raised at home with us. Our pups are all genetically cleared through parentage. Parents are OFA-certified on Hips and Elbows and have been tested through Embark. All pups have champion lineage in their lines and come from parents with good temperaments.
Q. & A. with Bernadette
Why did you start breeding?
As a child my family always had Labs. When I got older and started a family of my own, we got Echo (a Chocolate Lab) and fell in love with the breed. From there on I purchased more labs with better lines and health testing which then started our breeding program. Now we pride ourselves on our Labradors being genetically health tested and OFA certified before they are added to our breeding program.
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program prides itself on the health and quality of our dogs. We health test all of our dogs through Embark and aim to better the overall quality of the Labrador breed. All of our dogs and litters are raised in-home with us and are heavily socialized from the minute they enter our household.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
