Audrey Rogers at Saltayre Cavaliers

Audrey R.

Breeder of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels

Meet the breeder

I'm Audrey R., the breeder behind Audrey Rogers at Saltayre Cavaliers located in Far West, UT. I'm a AKC breeder of Merit Breeder and show in AKC conformation shows. Puppies are raised in my home. I breed in order to hopefully get my next show puppy and so I evaluate my puppies to see if I may be keeping one. But I cannot keep them all and so I usually will have puppies available to great homes in the litter. Health is very important to me as this breed does tend to have its health issues and while I can never guarantee a health issue will never pop up, I do my absolute best to lessen that risk by health testing. I also strive to breed to the standard for Health, beauty, structure and temperament. All of my puppies come with a 1-year health guarantee, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, can microchip, and AKC limited registration papers on a spay and neuter contract. They are all well socialized with dogs and children. We also start working on potty training before leaving. Most are using a Doggie Door by the time They leave.

Q. & A. with Audrey

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have raised quality dogs for over 20 years. I began with Maltese while living in Japan, before falling in love with Riley, my very first Cavalier in 2002. In that time I have learned the art of grooming, showing, and even judging, I have assisted my veterinarian with surgeries and answered many of his questions about K9 reproduction.
  • What makes your program special?

We are dedicated to the health and happiness of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel here in Utah. At Saltayre Cavaliers, the Cavaliers come first and that commitment is reflected in our service to you. We constantly strive to exceed your expectations! We breed for the sole purpose of improving the breed with temperamentally sound puppies that are a joy to live with. We take the health of our Cavaliers King Charles and Puppies extremely seriously. We health test regularly and keep up on the latest health testing info affecting our breed. Our Cavaliers and Cavalier puppies are home raised and enjoy plenty of love from their extended human family.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are blenheim. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
