Meet the breeder

Breeder support and a continued effort to enhance the breed are the main objectives of our program. We hope to stay connected to our buyers long after the puppy goes home! Many buyers send pictures of their fur family back to us threw out the years.

Q. & A. with Melissa

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding with my first female blue Australian cattle dog Puca in 2007 when we moved to the countryside in Maine. In 2012 I got my first doxie and fell in love with them as well. After years of debating, we started our doxie program in 2022. We’ve been waiting years to finally announce that our first litter of doxies will be born mid August 2025!!!!
  • What makes your program special?

We strive to breed only the most relaxed Cattle dogs to provide a better pet quality as opposed to the higher energy working lines. Some of my pups do herd cattle so they all can still do the job. most are very content and doing well in just a home setting.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies have smooth coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies include brindle and dapple. Australian Cattle Dog puppies include red speckled, blue speckled, and blue mottled. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We had such a great experience with Melissa at Australian Cattle Cuties and littles. We got one of her miniature dachshunds and the puppy is in perfect health, super smart and very affectionate. It was clear that she had lots of home care and love because our puppy adjusted very well when we got home with her. Melissa kept us updated each week as she grew with pictures and information and when we picked up our puppy, she gave us a thoughtful bag of goodies to welcome her home. Thank you so much, Melissa!

I had a wonderful experience with Melissa and her family! She responded quickly to any questions I had throughout the 2 month process and as a first time dog owner I had a lot. She was great at communicating and updating me about my pup and his growth, vet check ups, and firsts! Along with many pictures on a weekly basis so I could watch him grow! Melissa was easy to work with and allowed a scheduled visit at my pups 4 week mark which I loved! She was very knowledgeable about the breed and made sure I was comfortable and ready for my next steps at a new dog mom! On pick up day she answered any questions, had all the paperwork and sent us home with a starter pack for the pup! You can tell her family really has a lot of love and care for their litters and spends time socializing with them, I am excited for life with a puppy now!
