I'm Joy H., the breeder behind AZ Kennels LLC located in Silsbee, TX. Our dogs are bred for health, temperment and confirmation. My husband loves to duck hunt, and I (and my children ages 2 to 16) love beautiful labrador retrievers so we breed for show/working lines. Labs are the best all around dog. Great family pets, service dogs, retrievers and companions.

Why did you start breeding?
I had labradors growing up and always wanted to breed them. They are amazing dogs, great as part of the family, hunting/jogging partners, service dogs and companions!What makes your program special?
We are a small breeder and take individual time with all our puppies. The puppies see the vet within first few days of life and have dewclaws removed. We do ENS from day 3 to 16. They have dewormings at 2/4/6 weeks, and have their first vaccinations and vet exam to ensure they are healthy before going to forever homes. We love our dogs and puppies and want the best for them!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Price
“The price includes AKC limited registration, dewormings, first vaccinations/vet exam, well socialized and loved puppy. (Full registration is available to approvedhomes with additional fee). If a puppy is not born of the gender you want, or the vet finds life threatening condition, we will refund the deposit or you can pick a new puppy. Once puppies are born, deposits are non refundable.”

Program update on 21 Feb. •…These beautiful boys all left us to go to their forever homes this morning! We will miss them, they were so much fun to raise and love to this point in their life! Thankyou to all the wonderful people for giving our pups wonderful forever homes!

Litter update on 19 Jan. •…These sweet pups are now just over 3 weeks old! They are chunky boys! So far they have had dewclaws removed, ENS from day 3 to 16. Had their first deworming at 2 weeks and nails trimmed. The pups all have their eyes open, are waddling around and starting to nibble puppy food. We are loving these pups so much!

Litter update on 29 Dec. 2025 •…We have puppies! 4 little boys born Saturday evening. They are doing great so far, healthy, moving and eating. Excited to watch these boys grow, my kids cant wait to start cuddling and playing with them. Dewclaws were removed at the vet this morning. At this point all are reserved.

Litter update on 04 Dec. 2025 •…The pups are 8 weeks tomorrow and will start to leave us... We have loved raising them to this point, cuddling and getting to know them. We are excited for their new families and all the excitement and happiness they are going to have!

Litter update on 20 Nov. 2025 •…The pups are now 6 weeks old. They are officially weaned and had their first vaccinations/vet exam today! All are growing so fast! Bingley (dark blue collar) is the largest! He's just under 9lbs. The rest are around 8 to 8.5lbs. We have started crate training and love playing with these pups.

Litter update on 07 Nov. 2025 •We have started the second round of dewormer. They pups are all between 4 and 5 lbs now and starting to play!

Litter update on 30 Oct. 2025 •…At three weeks these pups almost all have their eyes open and are waddling around! We have completed ENS and their first round of dewormer. My kids and I are loving cuddling, holding and just watching them. They are precious!

Litter update on 23 Oct. 2025 •…Two weeks already!! The pups are all so cute and doing awesome. We started their first round of dewormer and got weights today. They are all between 2 and 2.5lbs. Also, we are starting to see a few eyes open! We're getting excited to see their personalities as they grow.

Lyric is a beautiful light yellow (white) labrador. She loves to retrieve anything and everything, shes is an awesome jogging partner and thinks she should be a lap dog. Lyric is a special girl and loves everyone. Her father is from Ukraine and she has the softest fur.

Quinn is a beautiful classic labrador. She loves to fetch and retrieve/hunt. She is my jogging partner and a great all-around lab. She is smart and agile but not crazy and will be happy just to sit with us if we aren't doing something. She is a great family dog and the kids love her.

Tucker is a beautiful yellow lab. There are many show (CH, GCH) and hunt (JH and MH) titles in his pedigree. He is smart, likes to fetch and loves water. He doesn't bark much and is a great family dog. He can be a bit silly at times and if he was a human would have a good sense of humor! We love this boy, he is a sweetheart.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Meet Riley, born October 9, 2025. We are so excited to have her home with us, and loved every minute of watching her grow with Joy and AZ Kennels. The entire process was amazing! Joy kept us informed starting within hours of the puppies being born and then sent weekly updates with pictures/videos. The pick up was easy with Joy providing all the required documentation, a bag of food, a blanket and some toys. We are so happy we found Joy and AZ Kennels! Her philosophy on raising great family dogs was exactly what we were looking for in a Lab breeder.
